A National Scout Jamboree is a gathering of thousands of Boy Scouts, held every four years and organized by the National Council of the Boy Scouts of America. Referred to as the "Jamboree" or National Jamboree, Scouts from all over the nation and world have the opportunity to attend. It is considered to be one of several unique experiences that the Boy Scouts of America offers.
Adult Only Service Day at Camp Minsi
Beaver Weekends are always important, but this is only one weekend of the year and our camps need service year round. If you haven’t heard, the Minsi Trails Council has a number or significant projects that are being accomplished this Fall and we need your assistance. We will be holding an “ADULT ONLY” Fall Service Day at Camp Minsi on Saturday, October 15th.
Inaugural Tim Lambert BSA Memorial 5k Run/Walk and 1 Mile Fun Run
The Inaugural Tim Lambert BSA Memorial 5k Run/Walk and 1 Mile Fun Run is at the end of this month. Come out and join your fellow Scouters and community for this first time event!
Registration has been extended. Bring your friends and family to walk or run the race. The 1 mile fun run is perfect for young children. Everyone come out and cheer on the runners. AJC Band will be there, come rock out all morning long! Please see the attached registration flyer.

Leave No Trace Trainers Course
This 16-hour course trains individuals aged 14 and older to serve as Leave No Trace Trainers. Trainers are commissioned to teach the BSA Leave No Trace 101 Course, promote the earning of the Leave No Trace Awarness Award by Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, Venturers, and adult leaders, assists LNT Master Educators run LNT Trainer's Courses, and serves as a resource to the Council's Outdoor Ethics Advocate.

Winter Camp 2012 - Come and Chill out for the Weekend!
This fun winter campout is the official Minsi Trails Council Winter Camp in its 15th year. The activities planned for Winter Camp include: ice fishing, ice skating, ice hockey, cross-country skiing, rifle and shotgun shooting, a live demonstration of ice rescue, winter camping survival skills, use of GPS system, a hike over frozen Lake Stillwater, three Arctic Patrol Competitions and snow tubing at Camelback!
